Helai Hair Studio

Helai Hair Studio is not a real business. It's a concept demo I designed and built to show what a salon's own website could do beyond a price list: customers book online, and the owner sees and manages those bookings.

Customers pick a service and any add-ons, then a stylist. Prices follow the stylist's level (Stylist, Senior or Director), and "Any available" books the cheapest stylist who's free. After a date, a time, a name and a mobile number, confirming shows a preview of the WhatsApp message the salon would get. Nothing is sent.

The owner view is the salon's side: the day's appointments in a column for each stylist, each one marked as arrived, done, a no-show or cancelled, plus a week summary and sample sales. A booking made in the demo shows up there straight away.

It's built with Next.js, React, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS, with GSAP and Lenis for the motion and Base UI for the booking sheet. Availability is deterministic: the sample appointments come from the date itself, so the times booking shows as taken are exactly the ones in the owner view. Bookings are stored only in the visitor's browser.

It's a concept demo with no backend. A real salon's version would store bookings in a database, send WhatsApp or email confirmations, and put the owner view behind a login.
