A fictional specialty café landing page with scroll-driven animation, in English and Chinese.
Fictional café: a concept site I designed and built
Overview
Kawan Coffee Lab is not a real business. It's a concept demo I designed and built to show the kind of site a café or food and beverage business could have: one long landing page for a fictional specialty café in Kuala Lumpur.
It demonstrates scroll-driven animation with GSAP ScrollTrigger and SplitText, Lenis smooth scrolling and a pinned horizontal story. It comes in English and Simplified Chinese, with proper Chinese line breaking, and has fallbacks for reduced motion and for browsers without JavaScript.
Role
Solo: concept, design and build
Highlights
- Scroll-driven animation with GSAP ScrollTrigger and SplitText, on Lenis smooth scrolling
- A pinned horizontal story section that moves with the scroll
- English and Simplified Chinese versions, with proper Chinese line breaking
- Fallbacks for reduced motion and no JavaScript, so every section stays readable
